My experience with Minnesota and California family law gives my clients added knowledge for addressing child custody matters. I have handled a variety of cases where the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA) applied because there were interstate custody issues. I also have extensive experience in cases where there are no children, but one spouse leaves the state and files for divorce in another.
Affordable Rates
For most families, the financial changes are challenging and attorney fees can seem insurmountable. I offer tips on how to keep them to a minimum, payment options and payment plans. I also assist my clients in finding ways to have the costs paid by their supporting former partner or from marital assets they might not have independent access to.
Flat fees are available for some services. I will discuss this further during our first meeting.
Sliding fees are also available. I will tailor fees to your budget or needs where the circumstances warrant deviation from my standard rates.

Legal Services Within Your Means
My office space is attractive and professional yet not overly costly, which allows me to keep rates affordable. I strive to provide quality and affordability, and refuse to charge clients for any services other than hourly fees.
Some firms bill not only for attorney time but also for administrative costs. Larger firms also bill for multiple professionals working together on your case, which multiplies the costs you pay. I charge only for legal services at an affordable hourly or flat rate. I do not bill for secretarial or administrative costs; those are all included in my hourly rate.
Arbitration And Private Judging
In addition to having served as a Pro Tem Judge, I have also served as a judicial arbitrator. I am trained as an ENE evaluator and family law mediator, and have helped many resolve their family law matters with a variety of negotiation skills and suggestions.
